The other routes I did with my instructor went to the Asquith area. Are you a learner driver wanting to get familiar with the Bristol (Kingswood) Driving Test Centre routes for your forthcoming driving test and want to save time and money? (Note on the first test I did it was different and after exiting the centre I went straight instead of left and through the 40 zone/pedestrian/shopping area first). There's one slightly tricky intersection where its easy to go in the wrong lane (instructor can show you)īack onto Peats Ferry Road and turn left back to Service NSW :) Spend ages in the small residential streets around here, super easy but streets are a bit narrow + a few stop signsĭid reverse park + kerbside stop as my 2 manoeuvres in this residential areaĭrive back onto Galston Rd. Go all the way through the 40 zone all the way back past Service NSW and turn left into the slip lane (Galston Rd)

Be very careful, it's so easy to get caught up with yellow lights + keep clear areas. Turn left into Peats Ferry Road 40 zone shopping/pedestrian area. Keep driving straight past PetCo and turn right passing Kennards Self Storage (keep in left lane) The left lane puts you in the best position for the route ahead (the lane appears really tiny so just something to be aware of). Note: when turning you can choose either the left or right lane. Turn left at Shell onto Leonard St, follow the curved road (turns into Pattison Ave & Romsey St) and turn right onto Pacific Highway (you'll be turning past Caltex). I did my test at 10:30am both times and think it was a perfect time.Įxit Service NSW and then first left onto Bridge Roadįirst right onto George St and all the way past Westfield Hornsby Passed second time :) Would definitely recommend Hornsby and to get an instructor to show you the routes.

This was within the first 10 minutes of the test haha. Failed first time because I went through a yellow thinking it was unsafe to stop but the examiner thought I could have stopped. Between Hornsby, Chatswood and Ryde which location would be best to take the test? Any last minute tips would also be much appreciated :)ĮDIT: I ended up choosing Hornsby. I'm going for my P's in the next few weeks and would love some insight on any of these locations.
